The Baca Gallery is dedicated to showcasing unique creativity, offering an intimate experience. Through each exhibition, newly released piece of art and blog, we continue to redefine the essence of ART. The gallery supports the artist’s vision, highlighting individual expression, forging new connections, and transforming spaces with captivating works that resonate deeply with viewers.
The Baca Gallery was created to honor the legacy of The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation and Irene Sukle.
WHERE IS THE BACA?
'The Baca' is an area located in rural Saguache County, CO. It is situated at the South base of the 14,000ft peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve NP can be seen to the East with views of the expansive high desert San Luis Valley.
It is known as a unique, spiritual place because of its permeating energies and geographical landscapes. The energies of the area have called together and created a diverse, peaceful community of spiritual practitioners seeking enlightenment.
The Baca is also an area that The Marie Walsh Sharpe students would stay to study plein air painting, connect with the natural beauty of the landscape and the unique groups of people that call this special place home.
Founded by Brooke Ryan Scheib in 2023.
BROOKE RYAN SCHEIB
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but now loving life in Denver, Colorado, Brooke Ryan Scheib is an artist who's deeply connected to both her paintings and the great outdoors.
Her journey started at West Geauga High School, where she discovered her passion for painting. A full scholarship took her to Miami University, where she honed her skills in fine art. She didn't stop there—Brooke pursued a Master's in Art and Biology, graduating in 2016. This unique blend of disciplines infuses her work with a special blend of artistry and scientific insight.
When she's not at the studio, you can find Brooke by a mountain stream, fly fishing and soaking in the natural beauty that inspires her artwork. Her paintings capture these moments with a mix of realism and abstraction, reflecting her love for the environment and her skill as a painter.

He is a self-taught stained glass artist based in Denver, Colorado. With a deep passion for light, color, and texture, he crafts intricate, one-of-a-kind glasswork that merges traditional techniques with modern design. Inspired by the natural landscapes of the Rockies and the energy of urban life, his pieces capture both movement and emotion. From custom windows to bold, abstract panels, his work transforms spaces with luminous beauty. Dedicated to his craft, he continues to push the boundaries of stained glass artistry, proving that true mastery comes from passion and persistence.
